Gegharot Waterfall is located 12 km far from Aragats village in the Aragatsotn region of the Republic of Armenia, on the slope of Mount Aragats, on the Gegharot tributary of the Kasakh River. Its height is about 3000 m above sea level. In winter, the waterfall freezes, and in summer it falls from a height of 17 meters. It is included in the list of hydrological natural monuments of the Republic of Armenia.

            On the way to the waterfall, at an altitude of 2190 m above sea level, there is the legendary stone of Komitas Vardapet and the healing water of immortality called “luys akhbyur”.      

You can get to the Gegharot waterfall the following ways:

• by Jeep or truck (11 km of difficult offroad) + 500-meter hiking

• hiking (the total length of the hiking route is 22km, the hiking is of medium difficulty).
