Shinuhayr Waterfall is located on the left bank of the Vorotan River in the Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia, 0.5 km northwest of Old Shinuhayr village (Vorotan Gorge, near Shinuhayr village, the route leading from Old Khot village to Old Shinuhayr village). In 2008, the waterfall was included in the list of state natural monuments of the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia.
