Lake Tsover is located in the Lori region of Armenia, 3 km southeast of Dsegh village, in a saucer-shaped hollow in the northern part of the Tsovigash peak of the Sevordats mountain range, at an altitude of 1400 m above sea level. Since 2008, the lake has been included in the list of state natural monuments of the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia. The length of the lake is 250 m, the width at its widest point is 200 m, and the maximum depth is 4.5 m. The lake is fed mainly by underground freshwater springs and sediments.
Lake Tsover can also be considered as a cultural monument: Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan repeatedly mentions this natural wonder in his works. The lake was one of the favorite places of H. Tumanyan, where he often met with Armenian writers and poets A. Isahakyan, A. Shirvanzade, V. Teryan, Leo, as well as with Russian poet V. Bryusov.
