Jeep Tour to Dilijan, Dimats Mountain, Shaghot Waterfall

The first point of the tour is Dilijan town.  In Old Dilijan we will see a unique historical street of Sharambeyan, where we will feel the breath of the old Dilijan of the 19th century. In the area there is a cafe, restaurant, bakery, and other interesting places representing the special life of the 19th century. Various craftsmen (potters, carpenters) exhibit their works in the territory of the street, that is why the street is often called the "street of carftsmen". Nearby we will also see a monument to the heroes of the "Mimino" film, where three main characters of the popular film are embodied: Frunzik Mkrtchyan (Rubik Khachikyan), Yevgeny Leonov (Ivan Volokhov) and Vakhtang Kikabidze (Valiko Mizandari).

We will continue our off-road trip on jeeps and visit the Shakhot waterfall. The waterfall is located in the Tavush region of Armenia, 5 km northeast of Teghut village, in the crevices between the rocks of the Ijevan ridge, on the territory of the Dilijan National Park. The height of the waterfall is 46 meters. The Shakhot waterfall is also called Artsvi Tever (translated from Armenian as Eagle's Wings), as the neighboring rocks resemble the wings of an eagle.

Then we will move to Mount Dimats. Mount Dimats is located in the Tavush region, in the southwestern part of the Ijevan range, 5 km north of Teghut village. This fabulous mountain of 2378 m above sea level, towering over the forests and valleys, can be seen from any point of Dilijan.

Mount Dimats, covered with alpine meadows, although yields in height to Mount Sartsapat, is nevertheless more picturesque than the latter. A breathtaking panorama opens up from the top of Mount Dimats. Mount Dimats can be considered as a tourist paradise and a stunning place for making photos.
