The next stop is the unique Surb Hovhannes (9th century) and Artavazik (7th century) churches in picturesque Byurakan.

Then we will visit the Tegher Monastery, which is located on the edge of a deep gorge. According to the construction inscription on the door lintel at the western entrance, the monastery was built by Mamakhatun, the wife of Prince Vache Vachutyan, in 1213-1232. The architect of the monastery was Aghbayrik Vardapet. Gray basalt was used in the construction of the building. The monastery consists of the Surb Astvatsatsin Church and the narthex and is one of the famous church buildings of medieval Armenia.

The last point of the tour is a pottery master class. We will finish the day with delicious barbeque
