Salalah is one of the largest cities in Oman, the administrative center of the southern state of Dhofar. Salalah is famous for its palaces, reserves and museums. The influx of tourists is also associated with the large number of sandy beaches washed by the warm waters of the Arabian Sea.

The beaches here are considered as one of the best in Oman, and it is not for nothing that Salalah is also called the southern “Maldives” of all Oman. There You can see soft white sand on the coast and crystal clear water in the sea, but the area is not flat: Salalah’s beaches are surrounded by cliffs. At the same time, Salalah has stronger waves than Muscat has. Although Salalah is surrounded from three sides by the Arabian Desert, the climate here is relatively mild for most of the year.

The best time to have a rest here is from September to May. In other months, You can meet monsoon winds and rain. The air temperature does not exceed +28 О. Due to the fact that it is not hot here even in summer, many Omani residents come to Salalah from other cities in summer.
