One of the core missions of the ArmTrails tour team is continuous discovery and self-education. We believe that a truly meaningful tour begins with knowledge — and knowledge begins with the journey itself.
Our latest educational trip took us to the Vayots Dzor region — a place where history and nature speak the same language, and where the mountains carry the echoes of centuries.
⛪ Tanahat Monastery
Standing in the silence of the mountains, this monastery conveys the spirit of faith and scholarship from the depths of centuries. Every stone here reflects the intellectual strength and spiritual depth of medieval Armenia.
⛪ Arkazi Monastery
Distinguished by its simplicity and architectural harmony, this monastery offers a rare sense of calm. Here, time seems to slow down, and silence becomes the perfect companion for reflection.
📚 Gladzor University
One of the most important educational centers of medieval Armenia. Education here was not merely the transmission of knowledge — it was a foundation for preserving national identity and advancing culture. The legacy of Gladzor reminds us that intellect and literacy have always been at the heart of Armenian heritage.
🌉 Agarakadzor Bridge
A centuries-old bridge that connects not only the banks of a river, but also past and present. Structures like this testify to Armenia’s architectural mastery and the historic importance of roads as links between communities and cultures.
⛪ Herher Monastery
Perched high above the valley, Herher Monastery watches over the landscape. The panoramic view from here seems to capture the very spirit of Vayots Dzor — rugged, beautiful, and profound.
💧 Herher Waterfall
The natural highlight of our day. The sound of flowing water, the crisp mountain air, and the power of untouched nature remind us that our journeys are not only about exploring history, but also about engaging in a living dialogue with nature.
This trip was more than a series of site visits. It was new knowledge, new discoveries, and renewed inspiration.
For ArmTrails, every journey begins within the team — through research, self-development, and responsibility. Only in this way can we create meaningful, in-depth, and truly exceptional travel experiences.
Vayots Dzor once again proved that Armenia is not only meant to be seen — it is meant to be understood.
